A destination that caters to every family member's desires—Tahoe indeed has it all, offering indoor and outdoor activities that captivate travelers of all ages.

Day 1 – Suggested Trip Itinerary

Your adventure kicks off with a flourish! Your private, enthusiastic guide will greet you in the lobby of your San Francisco Bay Area hotel and whisk you eastward toward Yosemite National Park. En route, we'll traverse Central Valley, California's agricultural heart, famed as the top producer of fruits and vegetables in the USA.

California's agrarian landscape is steeped in familial farming legacies passed down through generations. Witness year-round harvesting activities regardless of the season. The verdant Great Valley (Central Valley) tempts you with an array of fruit barns and stands where you can indulge in apples, almonds, berries, cherries, and more. Or opt for a pit stop for a hearty breakfast—Central Valley, merely a 2-hour drive from San Francisco, offers a gamut of intriguing towns and sprawling malls where you can snag essentials for the journey—food, clothing, shades, produce, and drinks. You might even stumble upon a pharmacy in one of these malls.

Onto Yosemite National Park, we go, journeying through the Sierra Nevada mountains. Along this scenic route, prepare for pit stops at unique attractions and stunning locales, capturing moments that demand a photograph. Yosemite welcomes us from the southern end through the laid-back town of Mariposa or via the park's western entrance along Highway 120. The route might vary based on your hotel's location, traffic, and weather conditions, ensuring you witness the park's marvels from every angle.

Day 2 – Suggested Trip Itinerary

Fuel up with breakfast (not part of the tour) as we gear up for an exhilarating expedition through Yosemite National Park's finest sights and attractions. Brace yourself for a high-altitude adventure that ascends to Glacier Point, a legendary vista offering unparalleled views of Yosemite Valley, cascading waterfalls, untamed meadows, and the lofty Sierra Nevada peaks. This spot, once graced by luminaries like Teddy Roosevelt, John Muir Woods, and Ansel Adams, remains an icon for photographers and nature aficionados.

Perched atop the south wall above Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point is an awe-inspiring encounter. Visitors spellbound by the sweeping vistas of the Sierra Nevada mountains and alpine panoramas often lose themselves for hours in its splendor. Accessible by the Glacier Point Road, this breathtaking overlook typically opens around late May or early June, shutting down by September or October, contingent upon weather conditions.

Certain Yosemite National Park attractions, like Tuolumne Meadows, Tioga Pass, Glacier Point, and the sequoia groves, are seasonal, closed in winter. Fear not! We've got alternatives lined up, additional attractions and side trips ensuring you experience Yosemite in all its glory. When Tioga Pass and Glacier Point are off-limits, we offer an alternative, the serene Mirror Lake loop (usually in spring). This family-friendly stroll showcases stunning reflections of surrounding cliffs and rocks in the water—an ideal spot for wildlife spotting and a photographer's paradise.

Hike to witness one of Yosemite’s majestic waterfalls, followed by a trip to one of the sequoia groves (if not explored on day 1). Encompassing three groves, these colossal ancient trees, the largest on earth, beckon exploration. Based on road and weather conditions, your tour guide will lead you on a 1 to 2-hour round trip hike (around 2.1 miles / 3.1 km). A moderate challenge (6 out of 10), accessible to most, though the final climb back to the parking lot might pose a slight challenge.

Trail options your guide can assist with:

Bridalveil Fall loop: A picturesque 25-minute hike to a splendid waterfall. Note: Trail can be slippery in spring and icy in winter.

Yosemite Valley Visitor Center and Museum: A showcase of Yosemite's geological and historical treasures, including exhibits on the 'Ahwahneeche,' Yosemite's first inhabitants.

Lower Yosemite Falls: A 1-mile loop, a brisk walk rewarding visitors with stunning views of three Yosemite falls at once (maybe dry late July through November).

Vernal and Nevada Falls: A scenic, challenging trail leading to Vernal Falls' base, providing panoramic views. Be prepared for slippery footing and a magnificent rainbow spectacle in spring and early summer.

Day 3 – 100% Tailor-Made Trip Itinerary

Post-breakfast (not included), your guide will meet you at your resort, ready to craft your day based on your whims and necessities. A plethora of options awaits—from snowmobile or boat rentals to aerial tours, the choices are vast. No prior reservations are needed for most outdoor activities, but your guide can assist as required.

In every season, a picturesque drive around Lake Tahoe awaits, punctuated by stunning photo stops capturing breathtaking landscapes, waterfalls, state parks, and majestic vistas.

Summer and fall beckon exploration of both California and Nevada shores. Swim at Lake Tahoe state beaches, indulge in water sports, or opt for a helicopter ride over the basin—these optional attractions aren't included in the tour package.

Winter in Lake Tahoe boasts endless activities at top ski resorts. Skiing, snowboarding, or renting snowmobiles are just the tip of the iceberg. Take a gondola ride at Heavenly Ski Resort or an Aerial Tram at Palisades Tahoe (formerly known as Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadow ) for mesmerizing views of the region.

Romantic getaways? Tahoe's got it! Wine tasting, casino fun, or a romantic cruise dinner—options aplenty for couples seeking an enchanting experience. Your guide will present more options, ensuring each day ends with a drop-off at your chosen hotel. Sit back, relax, soak in the vistas, and leave the driving and guiding to us.

Day 4 – Suggested Trip Itinerary

Experience a journey customized just for you, traversing Lake Tahoe in comfort via our luxury vehicles led by passionate local tour guides who'll craft each moment to create memories that last a lifetime.

Embark on a full-day private sightseeing tour in a luxury 4X4 SUV, exploring hidden gems and iconic sites around the Lake Tahoe region without the need for hiking or walking. Lake Tahoe, a magical four-season destination, embraces its unique natural beauty—crystal blue lake, verdant forests, and snow-draped mountains. Dive into the top attractions and activities for both winter and summer, picking your favorites for a personalized experience. One standout—The Full Day Lake Experience.

Summer in Lake Tahoe is a treat, with long, sun-drenched days and breezy nights perfect for vacations. The basin comes alive with a plethora of events, recreational activities, and thrilling outdoor adventures. Opt for water sports like jet skiing, kayaking, or paddleboarding. Or explore sandy beaches for a dip, hike to majestic waterfalls, or take a leap into the breathtaking Emerald Bay.

Day 5 – Suggested Trip Itinerary

Your personal tour guide awaits you in the morning at your hotel. Your last-day journey will uncover new landscapes and sights along alternative routes and back roads.

Whatever the season, expect a scenic drive on your private guided tour around Lake Tahoe. Captivating photo stops await, capturing stunning landscapes, cascading waterfalls, state parks, and majestic alpine views.

Winter in Lake Tahoe calls for thrilling alpine adventures via luxury 4X4 SUVs, offering spectacular views from commanding overlooks. Take a breathtaking 2.4-mile gondola ride up Heavenly Mountain for awe-inspiring vistas of Lake Tahoe. For snow enthusiasts, snowmobiling through Tahoe's mountains offers unparalleled views of the basin and Carson Valley in Nevada.

Summer unveils a tapestry of activities—watersports, swimming, beaches, and sightseeing. Let your lively tour guide navigate you through hidden gems along Lake Tahoe's shores. Venture to the Olympic Village at Palisades Tahoe, ascending over 2,000 feet on the Aerial Tram for panoramic views.

The roster of summer activities includes private guided tours of Lake Tahoe's famed sights and hidden treasures. Enjoy swimming on stunning beaches, fishing, biking, paddleboarding, parasailing, ziplining, boating, and jet skiing. Or opt for a helicopter air-tour over Lake Tahoe, sightseeing, hiking, and discovering wildflowers, hidden waterfalls, and mesmerizing views.

Relax—your private tour guide crafts your vacation itinerary day by day, customizing it as per your preferences. No stress needed; your private driver is at your service to personalize your daily tour itinerary as desired.

As you journey through California Gold Country, delve into history in Gold Rush towns like Auburn or Coloma, the site where James Marshall unearthed gold in 1848, and much more.

Apple Hill, nestled in the western Sierra Foothills of El Dorado County, promises the finest homemade pies and freshest cider doughnuts. Drive through rolling hills and orchards, savoring fresh-pressed apple ciders at a winery or apple cider farm. Don't miss the Premium Outlets, boasting an impressive collection of the finest brands and stores.

Relish the views, unwind, and leave the driving and guiding to us. You'll return to your San Francisco Bay Area hotel or home by late afternoon, around 6 or 7 p.m. When the pick-up and drop-off are outside San Francisco, tour length may adjust accordingly. Rest assured, you're in excellent hands as we're based in San Francisco.

Nine days San Francisco, Monterey, Hearst Castle , Mammoth Lakes & Yosemite National Park Travel Package

We waited 2 weeks to review to be sure we weren't still dreaming. So great was our time with this tour company. The tour started with a full day in San Francisco with Mary, our first driver and tour guide who is a native of the city. So, we really experienced S.F firsthand. Then our trip continued with Adam for 3 days to Monterey and Carmel, including somehow a front-row seat next to the 18th green during a PGA event a Pebble Beach without passes! He taught us how to be great actors! A dream picture op for this golf fan. Then Leo, our next guide, took us to the coast beyond Big Sur, including a tour of Hearst Castle. The trip ended with 3 plus days in Yosemite and across the Sierras wilderness. Yosemite National Park is truly magical - the longer you stay, the more you fall in love with it! This park is massive with breathtaking sceneries everywhere you look (giants sequoia, bears in the meadows, waterfall, alpine lakes and a lot of snow in the high country). Our guides couldn't have been more knowledgeable or considerate, especially getting us to every place we gave them on a considerable agenda before we even met them on day one. We saw and did far more than we expected, and they went well beyond the scheduled hours every day. If this reads over-the-top, it's because our experience was way over-the-top. They certainly exceeded our expectations, just as they said they would, and we are so glad we traveled with Yosemite Private Tours.

The Perfect family vacation in Yosemite & Mammoth Lakes

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

We enjoyed every moment of our Yosemite and Mammoth Lakes travel package with this tour company. We have been to Yosemite before, but this time, we were more excited about our trip to Mammoth Lakes and Eastern Sierra. Our guide, Adam, took us on an unforgettable drive to Mammoth Lakes, Mono Lake, Bodie ghost town, Lone Pine, and other off-the-beaten-path places we have never even heard of. He also took us hiking to places like Devils Postpile National Monument and Rainbow Falls, with acres of stunning mountain scenery. We loved all the attention to detail and the efforts he made to accommodate our family’s changing plans. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary upgrade to the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth Lakes. This is a very elegant resort and in the best location in Mammoth Lakes. It reminded us of our vacation to Switzerland with similar awesome landscapes. Book with Yosemite Private Tours. They are trustworthy, and you’ll be in good hands

2 Day Private tour of Yosemite

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

Our Yosemite experience was amazing! Within a few minutes of meeting our guide, Leo, we knew we were in for a fantastic adventure. On our way from our San Francisco hotel to Yosemite, Leo knew where to stop at historical points, where to stop to pick up the best sandwiches, and readily answered our many questions. When we arrived at Yosemite, we knew Leo was in his element. He is very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts with us such as the history of Yosemite, the damage caused by fires and insects, as well as ongoing recovery and protection efforts. He knew the perfect places to stop for photos and hikes to see all the most beautiful venues. Leo even assisted us with our luggage. Without a doubt, Leo gets Five stars for making our 2 days in Yosemite a lifetime memory.

Fabulous 5 Days in Yosemite

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

We chose Yosemite Private Tours off the internet and it turned out to be a truly a golden choice. We are from NY, so Yosemite was a big investment that turned out to have many dividends. Our guide, Leo, was an outstanding young man who had excellent knowledge and experience in leading groups and couples. He had terrific ability to adapt the tour according to our particular needs. Leo picked us up promptly at our hotel in Oakland and after the tour dropped us off at our hotel in San Francisco. Driving the 4 hours to and from and spending the 5 days with Leo was like spending the experience with our adult son. He made the trip truly special and went out of his way to accommodate our every need. Leo knew the history of the park--and the surrounding area--as well as the many features of the park offering options for us to choose. He also knew the best places to eat. Walking shoes are a must and if you are more adventurous call Yosemite Private Tours for more specific needs. They are most gracious and helpful.

Excellent Tour experience of Yosemite National Park

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

My family and I booked a 3-day Yosemite Tour through Yosemite Private Tours. We couldn’t have had a better experience. A lot of our positive experiences were thanks to our guide, Leo. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Yosemite National Park area, and he took the time to understand what activities were important to us and what was not. We highly recommended both Yosemite Private Tours and Leo!

Tom was fantastic and deserves a 10-star review!

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

We had the most amazing time. He was very courteous. He was also very knowledgeable and continually spoke about points of interest on our travel to and from Yosemite, as well as a very comprehensive guiding tour while in the Park itself. We felt very taken care of as he made sure all our needs were met. He was incredible when it came to taking pictures. We found this extra special. He brought us to majestic areas and continually asked for our cameras (we had 3) so we would have family pictures and memories for a lifetime. I asked if there was a waterfall we could view; Tom went out of his way to find me one. We found him to be a lovely, warm gentleman that enjoyed what he did and most of all made sure he created a beautiful day. We still are talking about it. We have traveled many places and have had many tour guides. Tom is a gem and we were very lucky!! He made our trip to Yosemite truly amazing!! All that are lucky enough to book your tour and have Tom as their guide will be guaranteed a fabulous trip!!

Lake Tahoe & Yosemite tour experience

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

While visiting relatives in Silicon Valley, we decided to go on a trip to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite park. After reading through TripAdvisor’s reviews, we picked up this Yosemite Private Tour company, and it lived up to its reputation. Our tour guide was Adam, he is so much fun - very interesting, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. He knows the name of every single tree and rock we saw along the way between Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. He kept us well entertained and showed us more attractions and places than we expected to see in both Yosemite and Sierra mountains. He simply exceeded our expectations. This tour package cost us a bit more than we anticipated, but it was worth every penny we spent. What an amazing trip around Lake Tahoe after a 3-day custom adventure to Yosemite national park - a wonderful destination and highly recommended.

Look no further, this is the real Private Tour Company

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

My sons and I planned a Mother/Sons get away to San Francisco to spend some quality time together. Preferring convenient and hassle-free experiences, we explored our options of private tour companies. Lucky for us, we selected this tour company. We booked three of their private custom tours: Alcatraz and San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Yosemite National Park. Both Mary and Jon are 5/5-star guides, and you will not go wrong with either of them!

Worth it!! Be prepared for very steep hills, windy roads, wildlife

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

I loved having my own driver. We used them for 2 days with different amounts of time and boy am I glad we did. Driving in Yosemite mountains is not something I am familiar with, but our guide was! Knowledgeable, courteous, and on time. Loved not having to drive, park, or know where go and where things are. Coming 'round the mountain sure sounds like fun, but the fact is that traveling steep slopes on narrow mountain roads can be challenging at best. Mountain driving is very different from driving in flat land. In addition to changing weather, be prepared for very steep hills, windy roads, wildlife... am I so glad we had a professional driver like Adam.

Yosemite National Park Private 3-Day Tour Package

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

We just finished a wonderful tour of Yosemite National Park with Leo. First, our guide Leo was wonderful - patient, friendly, professional, amazing hiker guide and very helpful. Use whatever adjective you want - he made the trip so enjoyable and doable for my wife and myself, since we are getting on in years. I am 80 and my wife 77. As a result, we certainly could not do the activities we once could. That said, Leo and Yosemite Private Tours were able to structure our daily activities, so we saw Yosemite National Park in an in-depth yet relaxed way. We could not have made the tour without Leo and we truly appreciate the three days spent visiting the Park.
