Day 1 – 100% Tailor-Made-Trip Itinerary

Travel to in comfort in our luxury vehicles lead by a local passionate tour guide who will customize your trip itinerary every step of the way, he or she will make your journey unique and memorable- an experience that will last a lifetime.

Your private and passionate travel guide will meet and greet you in the lobby of your hotel in San Francisco Bay Area and will head east towards Yosemite National Park. You’ll first drive through Central Valley, California agricultural hub, which is the USA top fruit and vegetable producer.

Farming is a large part of the economy of California and has a family tradition of farming handed down from generation to generation. You will discover year-round harvesting activities, regardless of the season. The Great Valley (Central Valley) is always green, and you can stop at any fruit barn or a fruit stand you may choose and purchase apples, almond, beaches, corn, berries, strawberries, blueberries, cherries, peaches, walnuts pistachios, tomatoes, garlic and many more. Or you can stop for breakfast in Central Valley, which is located 2 hours’ drive from San Francisco. There are many interesting areas, towns and large malls in Central Valley where your driver will schedule a stop or two, for you to purchase items you may need for the trip (food, clothes, sunglasses, vegetables, fruit and drinks). You can even find a pharmacy in the mall as well.

We will now head to Yosemite National Park driving through the Sierra Nevada mountains. Along this scenic route, you’ll be able to see unique attractions and beautiful places where phot stops will be made. You will reach the Yosemite either from the southern end of the park through the laid-back town of Mariposa, one of the oldest gold mining towns in California, or from the park’s western entrance along Highway 120. The tour guide may choose either entrance based on your hotel location, traffic and weather conditions, but you will see both sides as we always vary our itinerary on the way in and out of the park to ensure our customers get to see as much as possible of this majestic national park.

Day 2 – Suggested Trip Itinerary

After breakfast (not included in the tour price), get ready for a truly fulfilling journey from Yosemite National Park top sights and attractions. Embark on a new journey and outdoor adventure that will take you up to the high country to visit Glacier Point, a spectacular overlook that offers stupendous views of the Yosemite Valley, waterfalls, wild meadows and the high sierra peaks. This legendary site was visited by iconic figures like Teddy Roosevelt, John Muir Woods, Ansel Adams, and became an icon for photographers and nature lovers.

Located on the south wall above Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point is an exhilarating experience. Visitors, who make their way to the high country to marvel at Glacier Point, are always mesmerized for hours by the sweeping, breathtaking views of the Sierra Nevada mountains and alpine vistas. Glacier Point road, which provides the only access by car to this amazing overlook, usually opens around late May or early June, depending on weather conditions and closes by September or October.

Some attractions within the Yosemite National Park are seasonal like Tuolumne Meadows, Tioga Pass, Glacier Point and the Yosemite groves of sequoias. These sites are closed in winter, so we use alternative routes, with additional attractions and side trips to other locations and sights in Yosemite. For instance, when Tioga Pass and Glacier Point are closed, we offer you alternative sites that may include a walking tour to places like Mirror Lake loop(seasonal mostly in spring). This is a fairly easy family-oriented hike – the lake offers beautiful reflections of surrounding rocks and cliffs in the water. This is one of the best meadows of Yosemite wilderness to spot wildlife like bears, and a mecca for photographers. Take a hike to one of Yosemite’s majestic falls and enjoy spectacular views. Afterwards, we will head to one of the Yosemite groves of giant sequoias (the largest known trees living on earth), unless this has been already done on day 1. These massive and ancient giant sequoias live in three groves in Yosemite National Park. Your tour guide will drive to one of the best groves of giant sequoias based on road and weather conditions (weather permitting) and will hike with you to marvel at these ancient sequoias. This hike is usually a 1 to 2-hour round trip loop of around 2.1 miles (3.1 km). The difficulty rating is about 6 out of 10, which makes it accessible to most visitors who can walk or hike. It can be a bit challenging to some visitors, with a steady climb at the end on the way back to the parking lot.

After or before lunch, you will have various choices regarding walking, hiking swimming or simply sightseeing the valley floor wonders by luxury 4x4 SUV without hiking or walking.

Hikers may request their tour guide to assist them on the following trails:

Bridalveil Fall loop: this is a 25-minute easy, round trip hike to a picturesque waterfall. Note that the trail can be slippery and wet in spring and icy in winter. It is famous for the mist that wafts off the waterfalls when the breeze and wind blow, forming a rainbow at the base of the falls in spring.

The Yosemite Valley main Visitor Center and Museum: It is the largest Visitor Center in Yosemite National Park and located in the heart of the valley floor next to Ansel Adams gallery. This visitor center is a showcase of geology and history of the Yosemite including an exhibit on the first inhabitants of Yosemite called ‘the Ahwahneeche’. Rangers or volunteers are on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding these exhibits.

Lower Yosemite Falls: This 1 mile/1.6 km loop takes about 35 minutes round trip from the Yosemite Valley Lodge to the Yosemite lower fall. This short and fair walk (but icy in winter) rewards visitors with spectacular views of the three Yosemite falls in one spot; the upper fall, the middle fall and the lower fall. (This waterfall is often dry from late July through November).

Mirror Lake Loop: this is a family-oriented hike and fairly easy. You can either choose the 5-mile or the 2-mile loop. The lake is relatively dry most months of the year, but in spring and early summer it can grow in size. When calm, the lake offers beautiful reflections of surrounding rocks and cliffs in the water. This can be a good location to spot wildlife, but above all a must-do for photographers.

Vernal and Nevada Falls: This is the most scenic hiking trail in Yosemite but can be challenging. This hiking trail will take you to the base of Vernal Falls, 317 feet (97 meters) waterfall, located on upper Merced River, just downstream of Nevada fall. The waterfall runs all year long, although by the end of summer it is substantially reduced in volume and can split into multiple strands, rather than a single curtain of water. Your tour guide will start this 1.6 miles (2.6 km round-trip) hike from and back to Happy Isles, down in the valley floor. The trail climbs up and takes about an hour before you get to a wooden bridge where you can picture Vernal Fall from half mile away from the waterfalls. As the Mist Trail and the John Muir Trail diverge, follow your tour guide on the Mist Trail up on a steep granite stairway of almost 600 steps (if you decide to go all the way to the top). Prepare for slippery footing and a tremendous amount of waterfall spray in spring and early summer where a magnificent rainbow can often be seen at the base of Vernal Falls. This portion of the trail is closed in winter due to risk of snow and falling rocks.

Day 3 – Suggested Trip Itinerary

After your breakfast (meals are not included in the trip price), your tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel to organize and customize your today’s private tour itinerary from Yosemite to Lake Tahoe based on your preference and weather/road conditions.

Yosemite National Park has so much to offer, each season is unique. Some seasonal places like Tioga Pass, Tuolumne Meadows, Glacier Point and some of the Yosemite forests of ancient sequoias are not accessible in winter. However, there are of other sights and alternative backroads offering additional and equally magical sights.

Although the major three groves of sequoias are closed in the winter, but we still manage to take our clients on a guided walking tour to hike to any of these groves of massive sequoias. The red barks of the sequoias contrast beautifully with the white blanket of snow on the floor and branches. Yosemite is magical in winter, so peaceful and much more enjoyable than the busy summer season and large crowds.

If you wish to see more sequoias in a shorter amount of time without walking, you can ask your personal driver to drive to hidden ancient park of old sequoias, this hidden gem is located in the remote wilderness of Sierra Nevada between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park.

Visit California Gold Country on the way to Lake Tahoe: When the High Sierra passes are closed due to heavy snow fall, we will drive you through the iconic California Gold Country on the way to Lake Tahoe. Let us take you back in time as we drive you through the Gold Country’s backroad where you’ll be visiting authentic gold towns, museums or beautiful historical sites.

Once in Lake Tahoe, we will check you in at your hotel which we have booked already for you. You may enjoy Lake Tahoe nightlife and its many venues such as shows, concerts, romantic sunset cruise ships in the Lake Tahoe.

Your personal driver will meet you the next day at the same hotel, he or she will assist you with the checking out process to save your time.

Nine days San Francisco, Monterey, Hearst Castle , Mammoth Lakes & Yosemite National Park Travel Package

We waited 2 weeks to review to be sure we weren't still dreaming. So great was our time with this tour company. The tour started with a full day in San Francisco with Mary, our first driver and tour guide who is a native of the city. So, we really experienced S.F firsthand. Then our trip continued with Adam for 3 days to Monterey and Carmel, including somehow a front-row seat next to the 18th green during a PGA event a Pebble Beach without passes! He taught us how to be great actors! A dream picture op for this golf fan. Then Leo, our next guide, took us to the coast beyond Big Sur, including a tour of Hearst Castle. The trip ended with 3 plus days in Yosemite and across the Sierras wilderness. Yosemite National Park is truly magical - the longer you stay, the more you fall in love with it! This park is massive with breathtaking sceneries everywhere you look (giants sequoia, bears in the meadows, waterfall, alpine lakes and a lot of snow in the high country). Our guides couldn't have been more knowledgeable or considerate, especially getting us to every place we gave them on a considerable agenda before we even met them on day one. We saw and did far more than we expected, and they went well beyond the scheduled hours every day. If this reads over-the-top, it's because our experience was way over-the-top. They certainly exceeded our expectations, just as they said they would, and we are so glad we traveled with Yosemite Private Tours.

The Perfect family vacation in Yosemite & Mammoth Lakes

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

We enjoyed every moment of our Yosemite and Mammoth Lakes travel package with this tour company. We have been to Yosemite before, but this time, we were more excited about our trip to Mammoth Lakes and Eastern Sierra. Our guide, Adam, took us on an unforgettable drive to Mammoth Lakes, Mono Lake, Bodie ghost town, Lone Pine, and other off-the-beaten-path places we have never even heard of. He also took us hiking to places like Devils Postpile National Monument and Rainbow Falls, with acres of stunning mountain scenery. We loved all the attention to detail and the efforts he made to accommodate our family’s changing plans. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary upgrade to the Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth Lakes. This is a very elegant resort and in the best location in Mammoth Lakes. It reminded us of our vacation to Switzerland with similar awesome landscapes. Book with Yosemite Private Tours. They are trustworthy, and you’ll be in good hands

2 Day Private tour of Yosemite

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

Our Yosemite experience was amazing! Within a few minutes of meeting our guide, Leo, we knew we were in for a fantastic adventure. On our way from our San Francisco hotel to Yosemite, Leo knew where to stop at historical points, where to stop to pick up the best sandwiches, and readily answered our many questions. When we arrived at Yosemite, we knew Leo was in his element. He is very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts with us such as the history of Yosemite, the damage caused by fires and insects, as well as ongoing recovery and protection efforts. He knew the perfect places to stop for photos and hikes to see all the most beautiful venues. Leo even assisted us with our luggage. Without a doubt, Leo gets Five stars for making our 2 days in Yosemite a lifetime memory.

Fabulous 5 Days in Yosemite

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

We chose Yosemite Private Tours off the internet and it turned out to be a truly a golden choice. We are from NY, so Yosemite was a big investment that turned out to have many dividends. Our guide, Leo, was an outstanding young man who had excellent knowledge and experience in leading groups and couples. He had terrific ability to adapt the tour according to our particular needs. Leo picked us up promptly at our hotel in Oakland and after the tour dropped us off at our hotel in San Francisco. Driving the 4 hours to and from and spending the 5 days with Leo was like spending the experience with our adult son. He made the trip truly special and went out of his way to accommodate our every need. Leo knew the history of the park--and the surrounding area--as well as the many features of the park offering options for us to choose. He also knew the best places to eat. Walking shoes are a must and if you are more adventurous call Yosemite Private Tours for more specific needs. They are most gracious and helpful.

Excellent Tour experience of Yosemite National Park

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

My family and I booked a 3-day Yosemite Tour through Yosemite Private Tours. We couldn’t have had a better experience. A lot of our positive experiences were thanks to our guide, Leo. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Yosemite National Park area, and he took the time to understand what activities were important to us and what was not. We highly recommended both Yosemite Private Tours and Leo!

Tom was fantastic and deserves a 10-star review!

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

We had the most amazing time. He was very courteous. He was also very knowledgeable and continually spoke about points of interest on our travel to and from Yosemite, as well as a very comprehensive guiding tour while in the Park itself. We felt very taken care of as he made sure all our needs were met. He was incredible when it came to taking pictures. We found this extra special. He brought us to majestic areas and continually asked for our cameras (we had 3) so we would have family pictures and memories for a lifetime. I asked if there was a waterfall we could view; Tom went out of his way to find me one. We found him to be a lovely, warm gentleman that enjoyed what he did and most of all made sure he created a beautiful day. We still are talking about it. We have traveled many places and have had many tour guides. Tom is a gem and we were very lucky!! He made our trip to Yosemite truly amazing!! All that are lucky enough to book your tour and have Tom as their guide will be guaranteed a fabulous trip!!

Thank you. Randi Kamen and family . Cincinnati, Ohio

Lake Tahoe & Yosemite tour experience

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

While visiting relatives in Silicon Valley, we decided to go on a trip to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite park. After reading through TripAdvisor’s reviews, we picked up this Yosemite Private Tour company, and it lived up to its reputation. Our tour guide was Adam, he is so much fun - very interesting, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. He knows the name of every single tree and rock we saw along the way between Yosemite and Lake Tahoe. He kept us well entertained and showed us more attractions and places than we expected to see in both Yosemite and Sierra mountains. He simply exceeded our expectations. This tour package cost us a bit more than we anticipated, but it was worth every penny we spent. What an amazing trip around Lake Tahoe after a 3-day custom adventure to Yosemite national park - a wonderful destination and highly recommended.

Look no further, this is the real Private Tour Company

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

My sons and I planned a Mother/Sons get away to San Francisco to spend some quality time together. Preferring convenient and hassle-free experiences, we explored our options of private tour companies. Lucky for us, we selected this tour company. We booked three of their private custom tours: Alcatraz and San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Yosemite National Park. Both Mary and Jon are 5/5-star guides, and you will not go wrong with either of them!

Worth it!! Be prepared for very steep hills, windy roads, wildlife

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

I loved having my own driver. We used them for 2 days with different amounts of time and boy am I glad we did. Driving in Yosemite mountains is not something I am familiar with, but our guide was! Knowledgeable, courteous, and on time. Loved not having to drive, park, or know where go and where things are. Coming 'round the mountain sure sounds like fun, but the fact is that traveling steep slopes on narrow mountain roads can be challenging at best. Mountain driving is very different from driving in flat land. In addition to changing weather, be prepared for very steep hills, windy roads, wildlife... am I so glad we had a professional driver like Adam.

Yosemite National Park Private 3-Day Tour Package

Yosemite-National-Park-trips

We just finished a wonderful tour of Yosemite National Park with Leo. First, our guide Leo was wonderful - patient, friendly, professional, amazing hiker guide and very helpful. Use whatever adjective you want - he made the trip so enjoyable and doable for my wife and myself, since we are getting on in years. I am 80 and my wife 77. As a result, we certainly could not do the activities we once could. That said, Leo and Yosemite Private Tours were able to structure our daily activities, so we saw Yosemite National Park in an in-depth yet relaxed way. We could not have made the tour without Leo and we truly appreciate the three days spent visiting the Park.
